I. STORY
-The two worlds fuse together from a strong, powerful even. (Superman and Raiden aperently have something to do with this)
-Will take place between MK2 and MK3

Fatality 1 - Scorpion brings back the classic one here. He pulls off his mask, revealing a skull. He breathes fire onto his victim burning them to death. The victim runs around for a little, then just falls to the ground.

Brutality 1 - Superman's finisher has some to do with beating his opponent into the ground....literally. Superman pounds his victim over the head with such a great, powerful force, the victim starts getting pounded INTO the ground little by little.

Fatality 1 - The Joker pulls out a gun and aims it at his opponents head. He pulls the trigger and a flag with the word BANG comes out. The opponent is happy....until the Joker pulls out a real gun and blows them to hell.

Fatality 2 - Joker pulls out throwing cards and throws the, at the opponent. The cards all puncture him. The last one the Joker throws is aimed for the head. The card goes into the opponent's head, which kills him.

C. Cameos
- QUAN CHI - In one screenshot posted on noob.com, Quan-Chi is seen in the background. This might confirm cameos in the story. Rumors are speculating that he might be a hidden character and can be used in game.
D. Final Boss
-Dark Kahn - What happens when Darkseid and Shao Kahn mix? You get this guy. (If you didn't figure it out yet...) We don't know much about him, but for now we know that he is the
III. GAMEPLAY
A. General Area
-Unreal Engine 3 is being used.
- Everything from the past three games has been thrown out the window. This means no styles or weapons.
- Everyone will have two finishers! MK characters and EVIL DC characters will have Fatalities. Good DC characters will have Brutalities.
- Attacks show permenant marks of damage on the opponent's body. It was shown if Scorpion takes too much damage to the face, his mask will start breaking and eventually fall off.
-RAGE. When fighting, your rage meter fill up. Once it is filled, your character's eyes glow and will have fighting effects. (If anyone can fill me up on this, please do so!!)
B. Advanced Area
-Freefall Kombat is a sequence which occurs when switching from one area of a stage to another. You fight while on the way down to the ground, with one person on top, and the other on the bottom.
-Klose Kombat is a sequence in which the two fighters engage in taking and receiving blows. One person is on the offense and the other is on the defense. The one on offense will throw out hits while the other one blocks. If the defensive player dodges an attack, the sequence ends.
-In certain areas of the arenas, you'll be able to smash the opponent through the wall, resulting in a Test Your Might minigame. The more the attacker taps, the more damage the unlucky victim will take.

A. MK 9 will be the dark and gritty version, not this.
Q. Is Reptile in?
A. He isn't confirmed. Boon said he won't be in, but smiled and said maybe. *cough*hidden character*
Q. Is DLC confirmed?
A. Yes.
Q. Is Midway going to be assholes and have console exclusive content?
A. Most likely not.
Q. Will there be a Collector's Edition?
A. Yes, it will cost you an extra ten bucks and will come with the following...Velvet box packaging, Collectible glycee print, 16 Page Comic written by Mr. John Tobias, and a "Making of" DVD.
