Dat Ares always shows up, and is always looking more and more sick every month! I missed all but the last 2 games of your matches with goldy but your always on point and are a fantastic fighting game player!

Grifkitten and Busta Clown:
You guys are always levelling up! Lawren always conveniently disappearing when hes up in the bracket lol. But your Raven and Hawkgirl have gotten nothing short of amazing. Busta taking a game off clark! Just one of many reasons to keep an eye on that zatanna, Ive watched you level up from the first time you came out and am shocked at the fundamentals and reads you've developed since you first started coming out.

I still feel people sleep on you, but having had the pleasure to play you at almost every event recently(twice at NWM) I can say you are the #2 batman in the PNW. Super impressed watching you play and you seem like a really chill dude!

I want to thank everyone for making NWM 6 an incredible event. With over 450 players, including PR Balrog, Sanford Kelly, F. Champ, Nemo - regions all across the US and as far as Japan competed right here, in my beautiful backyard. These celebrity players hold events to very high standards and NWM always delivers <3

So I'll just start at the beginning. I want to thank Chris Anderson (who isn't here and won't see this, but deserves all the props) for hosting and organizing this amazing event every year. I'm not sure how he does it, or why! he hates us, he hates our games, but he still works his ass off to throw great tournaments lol gotta be that esports money I tease! Chris is awesome and if you haven't been trash talked by him yet, you're really missing out! This guy knows how to run a tournament!! I want to thank all of the GameClucks staff and NWM volunteers, especially The Unit - Brenda, Madison, Rhi and yours truly working the front desk all weekend. Thank you to Team Khaos, Dennis and Slash, for running pretty much everything! high quality and hype stream, balanced brackets and very generous amounts of attention given to EVERY game there.... I don't know how you guys do it either! Just a dream team to work with, I love these guys for everything they do for the FGC.

Moving on, I want to get mushy. Huge thank you to @STB Shujinkydink - Still the Quanfather, our MK9 NWM 2014 champion, MK9 host and general NRS community representative to NWM. He worked very hard to promote this event, accommodate the NRS community and finally become "that guy" We are genuinely lucky to have him in the NRS community, even if he trolls the shit out of us on TYM lol.

@HangNail - Trevar! I had too much fun hanging out and getting to know you this weekend. You are a favorite! This is why I love NRS games - these young, talented players we get to watch grow and learn over years and games. I look forward to smacking you in the eye for many years to come

@STB Immortal Kombat I can't stop saying congrats to you! It was great getting to meet you, and Mrs. Kombat. I'm sorry I couldn't hang out with her a little. Hopefully you will bring her up for a slugfest soon and we can girl it up while you defend your title. Congrats again!

@The BatMuchacho you're a threat at every event and instant favorite around TYM. I am loving seeing you post around here and cannot wait to watch you rock out repping the PNW at MLG!

@Buster Clown you are another favorite. You're someone who really loves this game and I admire that passion. You're just devoted, always working, always improving. It's been amazing to watch your Zatanna - and I cannot wait for you to show her off at MLG as well!

@Griffkitten you managed to do something that even 3 years of Jade vs Kenshi couldn't -turn me into a dirty counterpicker!! you have a love of oddball characters that I love to hate and a talent for disappearing right when we're looking for you lol you're just full of awesome

@The Big Palooka I had a blast getting bodied by your batgirl! You reminded me why I love doing this, my heart was going million miles per minute at the end of our set!

@Kevin 7 I do hope I'm tagging you right because you deserve so many props! Thank you for commentating Injustice, for bodying me with Sonya in MK, for being so devoted, talented, patient and full of knowledge - you're responsible for SO much of the leveling up we do. You're going to be my BFF in MK10!

Thank you to my clan mates in STB, for watching, for playing, for placing!! @knoterror the other half of our Injustice commentary team! Welcome home and thank you for making this tournament awesome I'm so happy to have you back! and @stb ticklebandit you and I are going to have a Ft5 smile off lol! Thank you so much to everyone for always coming out, keeping injustice competitive, supporting the scene offline in Seattle @Serpant, @nowhereman, @illusions, @Reggie and the T4p guys even if I'm not sure what it means lol and anyone I've forgotten or failed to tag properly - I love this community.

Very special shoutouts to @blueNINE !! It was SO great to see you again, congrats and THANK YOU for taking third in MK9! It was so much fun, so nostalgic to be playing with you again! Your Kung Lao has not lost it!

I had the absolute best time with all of you. I cannot wait for next year - I've recovered lol I can say it now So! As for next year - the Injustice community here is just a great community - with great players who are going places this year! My goal is to get us bonded, not just to each other but the community online, and have incredible turnout for NRS games at NWM next year.

Ideas so far include setting aside a percent from our locals specifically for our game to have a pot bonus, fly out celebrity players, or contribute to rooming/traveling players from our community. NRS games do get good time slots, generous stream time and very competitive players at NWM!

My only regret is VF:FS being canceled </3 Next year I fully intend to make that my baby, being "that guy" for the community. The game is still big in Portland, and it's a great game, it could be, should be, WILL be something special next year!

Ok, novel lol last but not least, thank you to everyone watching the stream at home and the TYM community that trolls, supports, inspires and pushes me to keep playing! You could have been anywhere on the internet, but you were there with me at 1,500 viewers and I appreciate that! I love you all, I’m very lucky girl to have such a lively and thriving community!

Also for repping our community online in TYM. No matter what we say we have to admit that the NW is a really small part of the fighting game community. Iluusions: I'm sorry that no one spells your name correctly but you need to slow downnnnnnnnnn how are you getting so much better? People usually level up on a regular pace but you're freakin leaping up the flights of level up stairs. Also you have to teach me how to play Sinestro! What the hell was that? Saving Sinestro for a time like that? I...ok that was the right thing to do it caught everyone off guard. Out of everyone that went I am the most proud of you

Ticklebandit: Why are you always smiling? Regardless of win or loss? I start smiling and it gets really weird because nothings happening but us just sitting there smiling. Playing shazam is hella hipster so you get props for that.

Knoterror: What the heck is this? I watched the stream for once!!! YOU TALK? WUT. I thought you were just that super good superman player that sat with the other kewl kids and took an occasional smoke. You have a sense of humor and are a super good superman loyalist? First time for everything

Serpent: You were Street fighting most of the time (lol that sounds weird) and I didn't get to see you that much. Can't wait for you to get a job and school to end for me so we can clash it out again. You're one of those guys that are calm when you play. I feel good after playing you in casuals (even broke ares back a couple of times) but I can NEVER beat you in tournament.

T4P Nowhere Man: Pshhh I talk to this guy erry day irl. He knows the props I gave him. But I gotta do this for his publicity. To everyone asking. NOWHERE MAN IS NIGHTWING/ZOD/AQUAMAN/ARROW/FLASH/ OF THE NORTHWEST. HE IS OPEN TO CHALLENGES FOR THE TITLES. Really though is treavor really the White sonic fox? Does that mean Nowheremans the Vietmanese fox?

Organ Doner: Cough Cough Hey Zeus. Nice try. You have a pretty kewl batman. The combos are...different. But you play a good cyborg and that by itself gets a thumbs up from me. Also, EVERYONE. I HAD A CRAPPY CONTROLLER AND IT D/C'ed MID TOURNEY. Hey Zeus kept calm and kept playing. This guy is one of those guys that I respect here

Big Palooka: Come on dude stop downplaying yourself. Lack of tournament results doesn't mean lack of skill. You're one of the funny guys in this community and you're also one of those guys that can nail a batgirl corner combo consistently. I have a emotional quote that should get you into the right mindset but I can't find it right now. I'll find it later. (No I won't. But it's actually suppperrr deep so ask me in person next time)

Buster Flipping Clowney: Dude...I lied up there ^ I'm super proud of you and Richard. Why is everyone like "Oh shit Buster got a game off of Clark?" Please... I totally called it. Immortal Kombat: Remember when I heard you were coming and I just flat out went to your wall and challenged you to a money match? I only did that to two players that I thought would be awesome to play against. You and Riyo. We're not done even though it's like 8-14 right now. Obviously you won so i'm not gonna repeat the others but when I saw you play I whispered to Nowhere Man, "I bet you 10 cents this guy wins" (True fact by the way. That actually happened and i'm now 10 cents richer thanks!) Shame you never got to play my lantern though. If you thought Reggie's was tough.... well....

Please I play Green Lantern, after 1.06 he dropped from top 8 to fricken top 20. I still play him. You're a good player you'll change.

Iluusions: I spelled you name right because I copied Great One. Out of everyone in our scene I see the most potential in your play. You are consistently leveling up, and you can make the weirdest characters work *cough* Joker *cough*. If you ever decide to tier whore go help us all.

Ticklebandit: I wish you did better in the Batgirl match-up so I would never have to deal with your Doomsday that consistently wrecks me. I have a ton of fun every time I fight you, and I'm happy that you've leveled up so much since you first joined the scene. You get the award for the most chill player in the PNW.

Knoterror: You are a tech master. I swear you've taught me more about the Superman match-up than I ever thought I'd know. Casuals with you are awesome too. I'd fight you all day if I got the chance. Maybe some day we'll meet each other in tournament and you can kick my ass there too. P.S. Your Sub-zero and Rain are crazy fun to watch. Can't wait to play you when I learn MK10.

Serpent: Man, I don't even know why you play other characters than Ares. It's not like you need to counter-pick or anything. Just when I thought I had your number you leveled up like crazy. You deserve all the recognition this community can give you.

T4P Nowhere Man: You're solid in a lot of characters, but man, your Nightwing is overwhelming as hell. Keep that shit up. I look forward to playing some casuals at some point.

Organ Donor: You get more and more consistent with Batman every time I see you. Even though your combos are unconventional they are effective, and you're pretty damn consistent with them now.

GrifKitten: You take the title of the trolliest player we have in the PNW, but we love you for it. You play all of those characters that none of us want to touch, and you make it work. Long live Team Hey Kitten!

Busta Clowne: Zatanna. Shit... You say this is a bad match-up, but you make me work for it every time. It's been cool leveling up at the same time as you and having somebody struggle with the same bullshit I have. Honestly, you've become one of my favorite players here, and I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels that way.

Immortal Kombat: I'd heard nothing but good things about you, and now I know why. You're a totally awesome person, and I'm damn glad I didn't run into you in the tournament. I would have had my ass thoroughly handed to me. Next time we'll do casuals.

Reggie: I was having PTSD flashbacks of the last time you kicked my ass at NWM. Thanks for that! In all seriousness though, you're a crazy talented player and I respect the crap out of you. All the crap. Also, everyone here secretly wishes they were as cool as you.

Trevar: We may not always agree on match-ups or anything, but it's fun hanging out with you. Your Supes is overwhelming as hell, and you're the the most consistent player when it comes to supporting the scene. I think I've seen you miss maybe 2 tournaments. Also, it's awesome to have someone to talk to about fightsticks.

T4P Lonely Boy: I haven't talked to you or played you or anything, but your fightstick is super glowy, and I respect that.

Kevin7: I've complimented you non-stop since I've met you, and I won't stop now. If we hadn't met I wouldn't be playing fighting games at all. I sure as hell wouldn't have gotten this good. You've taught me everything I know, and I've still barely scratched the surface of your knowledge. Blah blah blah sentimental shit.

Shujinkydink: You were crazy friendly right from the start. Even when I didn't play a single fighting game. I just showed up to check out the scene and there you were in your Canadian glory. Thanks for being a cool guy and spending the time to help the scene level up. I just re-read the first three sentences and they sound like the beginning of a cheap romance novel.

Batmuchacho: You almost double perfected me on stream. That shit was crazy. You've leveled up so much, and you are now the person to beat every Slugfest and Gamebreakerz. The rest of us are gonna have to work like crazy to catch up with you.

Clark: I've never fought you before, but I can tell it would end badly. If you hadn't moved we'd be overwhelmed on a weekly basis. I give you permission to learn Batgirl, but only because you moved. That way I can still claim I am the best Batgirl main in the PNW.

Joey Classic: I'm always a huge fan. Your performance in the last NWM is one of the reasons I picked up Batgirl. I learned a bunch from watching you and your crazy cast of characters. I look forward to seeing you at every tourney.



And that's about all I have to say at the moment. I may have only played fighting for a year so far, but you guys have made every minute worth it.

@Bo Knows Killing First and foremost i would like to thank my local training partner Bo Knows Killing for always being down for a 40 game practice sesh. He got me into MK and is the reason i starting playing competitive. He played almost every character i had to face in tournament.
Most people dont know this but at the beginning of this year pig made a thread called new years resolution. In that thread i had three goals. 1. Find a clan 2. Win NWM
3. Do well at evo. The beginning of the year didnt go so well for me...i tried out for several clans with zero success. I had literally given up looking when out of no where dink sends me an invite to join. I was shocked and accepted it right away.
For that dink, i thank you and all my fellow STB clanmates for giving me the practice needed to win this tournament.

Illusions- keep at it man, your closer than you may realize

Busta- hella cool guy as always nice zatanna

Reggie- i swear it wasnt a popoff on you! It was more like...fuck ya, i just 3-0'd last years champ. Hella chill guy, didnt give a fuck about my popoff lol.

Kevin- The batman advice kept me alive in tournament. Much appreciated.

Clark- I wanted to pop off out of excitement from beating you because everyone warned me how good you are. I figured i better not push it lol. Hella good superman, nice top 8.

Bat Muchacho- We may never know the real matchup number for dd vs bm. Midscreen you win, in the corner your dead..i think it literally depends on momentum. Great games man! Good games to evrryone i played and didnt get a chance to play. I lobe NWM and will be back.
