Hi all
I have a bit of fighting game experience, but not enough that I would call myself 'good' at them.
However I bought MKX a week or so ago and have been finding it really fun to get into and learn, so now I want to take it a little bit more seriously. Everyone on TYM seems super helpful so I figured I'd sign up and get involved.
So my questions are like this: What do you think is the best way to learn? I have been playing a lot of single player stuff; beat the story, 100+ single fights, so now medium difficulty is kind of a joke, but hard difficulty is still a struggle. I've spent a lot of time in practice mode drilling BnB's, figuring out what is safe and unsafe etc...
At this point I am comfortable enough to more or less dominate my friends whenever they play me so now I have the urge to go online and see what I can do. The only problem is that I have on idea if a) I have practiced long enough or b) should even worry about losing my first matches. Is getting smacked around a lot an effective way to improve as a player or should I just keep learning on my own?
Also, to your knowledge, is the matchmaking in MKX in anyway dictated by player's levels/ win to loss ratio or is it random?
Thanks
