New to fighting games

Hey guys, I'm a new player when it comes to fighting games. Mk x is probably the first fighting game I've taken somewhat seriously. I live about 30 min from Atlanta Georgia. I've done some research on the forums and seen that YOMI would be the closest place where there is a good fighting game community near me.I just have a question: is it pretty good? I love mk x but the online experience is quite frustrating. Some feedback would be great, thanks!
