New Player, Looking for Main

Hey guys, I'm a fan of DC and am trying to get into this game. I haven't had a ton of experience with fighters, but I'm willing to work at it. Basically, I'm looking for a main. Any suggestions on a non-zoner type? I'm most interested in Nightwing, but I'm afraid he may be too advanced for me. I don't want to play Batman or Superman, as my friends play them and I'm going to be hipster about it. Kind of debating between Catwoman, Nightwing, Hawkgirl, Harley, Wonder Woman. Any suggestions for a new player?

Wonder woman is an awesome underrated character. Catwoman is a bunch of fun to play. Green Lantern is pretty awesome too, and noob friendly.

If you want to shit on your friends fast play grundy and shock them with 55 percent combos for one bar! Plus it is dumb easy to learn his combos and resets!

If you like Nightwing, give him a shot. The Nightwing board is friendly, although the constant "Dick" jokes will wear on you after awhile.

It's best you mess around with the entire roster, then pick a main. You'll enjoy the game much more.

I suggest picking a balanced to start learning the game basics. Black Adam, Aquaman,Green Lantern,Superman are perfectly rounded cr ,avoid the ones that whilst offering a great "learning curve" don't have a "basic" gameplay like Grundy or Doomsday.Personally I'd suggest you GL since I find him to have an immediate gameplay.When you'll have learned how to play choose whoever you like.
