New player. Could really use your help with a main!

Hey guys,
Got MKX last week and I am loving it! I'm overwhelmed by how much content there is with Towers, Invasion fights, and Online play. Overall, I'm having a lot of fun! May you please help me with picking on main?

So far, I really like the Kano's throwing knives and Kung Jin's arrows. They're so fast and reliable. Kind of reminds me of Ryu/Akuma's fireballs from Street Fighter. Anyways, I really like Reptile's crazy speed too. It's just so volatile and a lot of fun.

That being said, is there a character I maybe overlooked that has quick, reliable projectiles like Kano and Kung Jin, and has explosive approaches/mobility like Reptile?

Also, an easily executable X-Ray is a plus. Really let down by Takeda's anti-air XRay.

To be honest, I really just think you should pick the character that you enjoy aesthetically and personality/story wise. I have way more fun this way.

You mentioned Kung Jin. I think he can be a good starter character, because his gameplan is fairly straight forward (outrange them and mix-up game) aaaaaaand his execution is not the worst. Either way, pick the one YOU like the most and just explore the character in practice mode

I'm a newb myself. Have you tried Lui Kang yet? He's pretty fast, very versatile, good fireballs, solid mobility, etc. Raiden is solid and has some of the properties you're looking for. He's also considered by many to be among, if not THE strongest character in the cast. I like making my own life difficult, so I play Takeda, who is quite good, but he doesn't do you any favors, he makes me sweat for damage, lol.

Do you play on PC? Feel free to hit me up in a PM or something, I'm a newb to, but I'm sure we could learn from each other.

Hmm maybe Raiden or Sub-Zero might fit your style, since they both have projectiles but can also rush.

If you play on PC and are east coast, I'd be down to play you.

why do u need other people to tell u who to play. i know this thread is a little old but i got mkx and figured a lot of stuff out myself and picked my main by myself with no one else's input. I think it's probably a lot more fun that way.
