I hear people asking for nerfs, and people complaining about people asking for nerfs. Pre-patch Kung Lao was top tier and very good and was the target for a nerf, with the patch out now he is still top tier and very good so surely that justifies the nerf. At the moment, post-patch, Kabal is the target of a nerf, but some of the top players have said that Kabal would still be good if he got a nerf on his zoning, so nerfing him wouldn't be a bad idea, however
People need to look at this game at high level for example, whilst I was waiting to watch MK at EVO this year I sat through the finals of Tekken and all I saw was the same two characters in each fight, and even with Street Fighter alot of my friends use the same characters but with MK the top 8 is usually always with filled with different characters.
I just wish people would wait a bit for the game to breathe before screaming for nerfs, because not all of the characters have been tried enough to warrant these changes, and it's unfair to keep blaming NetherRealm because they are trying to please the cry babies. I love playing Baraka at the moment and I do well against the top characters because he has tools to get around stuff. Everyone use to think that Jax was weak but CD jr has shown that he can compete at a high level, Sindel and Stryker are looking very good at the moment.
I think that the problem we have is that people want a character they can abuse with safe moves, resets and block-infinites, rather than sitting down with a character and training hard with their character.
What do you guys think, are these patches a good idea, or are they stalling the progression of MK?
