I have noticed that the following inputs will result in throws:
Release 1 + Press 3
Press 1 + Release 3
Oddly, if you release both 1 and 3 at the same time you get nothing.
Also:
any direction + 1... hold for as long as you like... release direction (ie go to neutral) + Press 3 = throw. Note that you don't even have to release 1 in this case.
The above also works with 1 and 3 reversed.
So is there some kind of crazy option select I can do with this or is it just... weird? Or is this all old news
Also you can hold down the stance change button, wait as long as you want, then press block (while still holding stance change) and get an X-Ray. Doesn't work if you use 3+4 instead of the dedicated stance change button, though.
