Need help with Kaillera, general questions

I figured this would be the best place to put this, forgive my ignorance/stupidity, I'm pretty new to this.

My questions:
- What is needed to play on Kaillera other than the obvious UMK3 arcade rom?
- Where do I get what I need? (I already have the rom)
- Will I be able to use my arcade stick or pad?

Pretty stupid questions, but I'd appreciate any help. Again, I figured this would be the best place for this. If it isn't, feel free to move it to where it should be. Thanks in advance for any/all help.

MAME32k64 or MAMEPPK .119 are the most popular/stable to play online with, plus you will need the mk3 revision 2.1 rom to play umk3...google it.

Before you ask:

1. how to set up buttons, load the game and hit tab.
2. "My stick/pad won't work!" ...close MAME, plug in controller (make sure it is installed and working), start MAME, set/check buttons.

I have Windows 7 and keep getting that error in 0.64 about not having comctl32.dll.

If I wanted to play online, would this desync the game? It's also kind of annoying not to have access to default options...
