Does anyone play MK in this wasteland, corn state?

I do, good sir. I've actually been looking around to see if we actually have anything even resembling a tournament scene in this state. So far... no such luck. I live in Fremont and go to school in Lincoln. How about you?

I live in Grand Island, I'm homeschooling now. Apparently I've heard of some tournament in Omaha that plays MvC3, SSF4: AE, and Mortal Kombat. It's on shoryuken, but that's about the only thing I've ever found.

Yep, that's it. I would go to it, but I'd prefer to start one in Grand Island. Transportation it null here.

Yo, turns out I just got orders to Offutt, so I'll be in Omaha come Feb. Apparently Omaha has a few MK players (like 5-6) according to their SRK thread, so hopefully when I get there it will step up some. Lincoln isn't too far from Omaha is it?

That doesn't seem to terribly bad. I drive about 45min to work right now. Obviously you wouldn't make that trip on a regular basis. I hear they have monthlies, do you try to make those? Hopefully after being there for a little bit I can find a decent place to set up bi-weekly/monthly/bi-monthly tournaments like we do here in Vegas.

I'm up in Lincoln @ UNL for classes for the next 7 months, minus Christmas. Maybe we can get a tournament set up somewhere close to campus. Either way, hit me up if you wanna play, I'm pretty much on every day.
