My Fingers Suck.

Lt. Boxy Angelman

I WILL EAT THIS GAME
I feel like my hands are holding me back.

I know how I'm supposed to be executing, but it seems like my fingers can't keep up with how fast they need to go in order to be more successful.

All masturbation jokes aside, do any of you guys have any good ideas as far as hand/finger exercises and such, any means at all through which to make my button mashers more limber and capable of faster flailing against my pad?
Whatever it takes.

It really isn't much about speed. Everything is more about timing. There are certain times where your moves won't register if you do it too fast because you are still in recovery from your previous action. The only string that I kan think of that requires speed is Kung Lao's Fast Punches and everybody has trouble with that on pad, it's not you.

If you're using a pad. It's really your thumbs doing most of the work for inputs so finger speed wouldn't help much.

With that said, learning the timings is just a matter of practice. Repeat, repeat, and repeat until you have it down. The more you practice the better you'll have it.

If you do pick up the guitar, don't put it down for long. Just picked mine up after a 6 month hiatus and I can't even remember hypnotize by s.o.a.d., easy ass song lol

Ps. Have you tried masturbation? :p

You do forget songs but the skill you learned should still remain. Once I remember a song I kan start playing it again, as well as I did before.

Cold day in hell...
I've played bass for about a decade, but my guitar's been out of commision forever.

Hmm...perhaps you're right, Mr. Petey :).
I attribute most of my dexterity to playing guitar. And before I played guitar I guessed I would be able to do it because I had dexterity playing games... perhaps they help each other some.

Play guitar? If not, start.
Anything to increase dexterity.
I play guitar and MK9 on pad. I don't see how moving the fingers of your left hand and the wrist of your right improves the accuracy of your thumbs. Maybe it would help for a stick or hitbox player.
