Multiple Variations of Each Character?

To me this could perhaps mean that there are a selection of fighting styles to chose from, perhaps even a hand vs a weapon style similar to the 3D set-up I'm not sure...

Maybe it has something to do with multiple x-rays as with Ultra Street Fighter IV. Or maybe it's a 'good' or 'evil' version of each character that somehow differentiates them and gives them different move sets.
