Mortal Kombat Legacy Series 2 "Box Art" revealed during SDCC

Premiering in September, the second season of Mortal Kombat Legacy will be airing on Machinima via YouTube series. Legacy Director Tancharoen has stated prior that the second season will be based off of the actual Mortal Kombat tournament rather than each character having their own episode.

Fans should be extra excited as the series will be picking back up Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, who portrayed Shang Tsung in the original Mortal Kombat film back in 1995. On top of his return several cast members who were in the first teaser "Mortal Kombat Rebirth" will also be returing including Ian Anthony Dale as "Scorpion".

Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa is also older. He is about to turn 63. He was in his early 40s when Mortal Kombat was filmed.

I'm glad to see him return to Mortal Kombat.

I was at the panel at comic con for this. I had mixed feelings about it. The trailer was good, but man the acting and some of the dialogue was cringe worthy. Couldn't help but roll my eyes. They also showed a whole fight scene which featured Johnny cage, mileena, and kitana. Casper van diem is way over the top with cage but he was good and funny. Kitana and mileena dialogue was laughable but the fight scene was really good. It finished with a fatality that was pretty much taken straight out of MK9.

Now I'm still excited for it mainly just for the fight scenes which is what most people are excited for anyway. it's not one of those shows that's going to have great acting performance or great special effects but it's going to be fun to watch.

I don't like emo liu kang at all, hate subzero's costume, and I don't like the new raiden. Should have kept the original actor.

Best part of the panel was when Ed Boon shouted GET OVER HERE! It was EPIC.

Thanks for all the info above! What about the new trailer? Did it show any new moments between Liu Kang and Kung Lao? Did it show Raiden OR Shang Tsung fighting? I only hope that it's worth the wait...
