It hit stores today (US) fully-loaded and Machinima also upoaded the Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition launch trailer giving, especially the "new heads", a taste of what we have worked up to at this point. From the first DLC character, Skarlet to the bone-chilling and quite shocking reveal of the Dream Warrior, Freddy Krueger... it's all here on one disc. You get all classic skins, 15 of them, so what more could you want from an award winning game?! This game is currently retailing for $59.99 and is a steal for new Mortal Kombatants.

unless I'm missing something here, I can go get the original MK9, download the DLC's and get that cheaper than this load of shit
not entirely, it's still like 45 or so used, the character pack is 14.99 i think and then there's the costumes on top of that, then you have to pay for an online code. so if you don't have it at all, then you have the option of buying this version or the original version for the same price. unless you get it like dirt cheap online or something, but even then your savings depends on how much you can get the game for.

A complete waste of effort, money and time on NRS/WB part. They could have done so much more than this. Not one single cent of additional content.

Pointless.

A great opportunity wasted.

yes, this is why ive saying that this package isnt for us. its them trying to bring in new players or players that were on the fence to finally take the plunge.

probably, but not as well as they think. I mean, the game sold over 3 million copies. they didnt need to go this route, imo. An extended version with more, different content would be a better idea imo :)
I know, seeing this version released with nothing new on it just seems like such a massive wasted opportunity.

I mean the fact that it sold 3 million copied should have been the incentive to give the fans more, as it wasn't too long ago that MK looked dead in the water, and if it wasn't for the fans, it would have stayed there.

yep, i agree. But MKKE is what it is, and MKKE is not for us. :/

Wow...

I can't believe they didn't take the opportunity to do something with this. At least:

- Why not make the DLC mandatory now?
People who play this game should be at the point where they want to learn every single match-up, if they don't; why are you playing this game still?

- Why not hot-fix the game one last time?
I'm not going to get into specifics (another topic entirely, keep it that way) but there's a lot of little things that should be fixed. Not another patch but if they could without changing the game completely then change them for the better of the game, if not tell us that's it!

- Why not continue support for this game with additional skins for characters?
Don't tell me their code is that crappy that they can't add more skins, they can...they obviously did with compatibility patches and if they would just focus on this game some more (because it is the best Mortal Kombat game yet and some of us aren't ready to move forward) they would be recognized as a great fighting game supporter.

Why should we go buy their next game if all they are going to do is promise us stuff that won't come out and when they made enough money off it; ignore the game entirely and already be moving on to the next installment. All I'm saying is some characters skins, potentially some levels and fatalities should not be back/game-breaking for the developers. It really shouldn't and I know the MK community would appreciate, especially the people who post here

Anyway, that just bothers me they've went about it like this. I feel like they're turning into Activision or EA and completely screwing themselves over in the longrun. Sure they might make more money but don't they want to be remembered for this game? Wasn't that the point of making this game in the first place? To be remembered for it? I still think there's plenty of money to be made if they just put out the right stuff and not f--- up the game in the meantime -- a tall order, I know but we're at a pretty good spot now...why stop while the gettin' is good?

Boon himself even said he wants to take a break from MK. Okay, well continue supporting this game and move onto whatever else you wanna do...the MK fans are happy with this game and if they're not, there's plenty of us who are despite its flaws.

Look here broski, if you're paying $45 for it used you're being ripped off.

The game itself costs $40 in Sweden now, and the DLC characters cost $3.50 each and have since release

You guys do realize that this is basically a game of the year addition. You have known this for months. It will be great for tournament as you won’t have to down load every character for each system.

They can’t make it mandatory to download the dlc because xbox and sony have rule against that. That’s why they made the compatibility packs free with new skins.

Every time they patch a game it’s $40,000 out of their pockets for both consoles. I’m sure hot fixes cost money as well. At this point in the games life it’s really not worth it until everything is explored. And remember we asked them to chill out on the patches.

And if they fixed the input bug and what not they may not have been able to make it compatible with the original game.

What exactly did they promises us that they didn’t give out?

well sir i live in america and if you walk into a gamestop that's what it is. i got my kollector edition at release also. here in the us psn store the pack for all characters is $14.99 I believe. so like I was saying, it's the same price for the game and the characters just about if you plan on going that route. yay it's cheaper in sweden good for you. I really don't see why everyone is so angry. you should be happy that we don't have to pay for a new edition every 3 months like those capcom games. we may have been promised this and that but if it wasn't sent to your house personally with a notary stamp why would you expect to get everything they said they'd give you?
