I know what we'll do. We'll make the same game again, except we'll slip in the dogtag collection from crysis 2 and make our killstreaks more like homefront. Those games didn't outsell our games, but we need their ideas because our games really aren't that good, despite our robust sales. Not as many people bought those other games.. so who will even notice that we stole their ideas?

I don't play COD because it's original. I play because it's of it's arcade-ish feel and because everyone else I know plays it. It's like how people buy the same sports title every year (not me, but, COD is my madden I guess). I don't think they're doing anything new or groundbreaking, but I always buy them, because I know I can jump in with 5 other people on my friends list and have a good time. You know what i'm talkin' about.

See i used to hate COD till i realized the reasons for it were just knee-jerk reactions. It has some BS to it but then so does every other game. Plus people talk about the same game yet the games they play are the same thing to. You have to think of the series as IW vs Trey (i stick with IW) and you will see they arent the same thing (look at mw1,2,3 and there is no way you can say its the same thing).

Plus almost every single fps tries to be COD so i mine as well play COD and enjoy the arcade action (HUGE timesplitters fan)

So, on top of paying $60 for a carbon copy of the game they released last year, they expect you to pay for the "Call of Duty ELITE" package that is most likely going to be $10 a month.
Activision is such a great company.

Upon further investigation, the Elite package is really only for DLC and like community feedback and shit, which seems worthless IMO. Because, if you want DLC, you're gonna have to pay for it anyway. The free service still offers everything like the old COD games and file sharing, probably for replays like on Black Ops.

QFT. Plus... sometimes its good to hear the cries of 12 year olds as you melt their tiny little faces (yes... i use COD as a stress reliever and to study in between rounds).

The only way if I buy Battlefied 3 over MW3 is if they provide a good beta better than COD in general. Im not wasting cash, I guess people stick with COD becaause they know when the game is going to be good.

BF3 looks great, but it might not feel right.

MW3 looks great, and it has plenty of originality. You can't change too much with each installment, or else it won't be CoD. But this is definitely looking wonderful, plenty of new and exciting things, and it'll give me plenty of fun throughout all of its game modes. CoD gets too much unnecessary hate. I can't wait!

I like that they're going to be 16 maps already on disc :)

One problem i have with the franchise is they milk us out of money with all these new map packs.

I don't dislike COD or stereotype COD players, but I wish that that market didn't destroy the console based tactical shooter genre as it has appeared to have done. Games like Rainbow 6, Ghost Recon, Operation Flashpoint are more and more abandoning tactics in favor of COD-like run n' gun gameplay. GRAW 3 look like its gonna be a big disappointment. I loved the feel of the original Ghost Recons where you're deployed to an area, given a task, and that's it. Seems like thats gone.

Wish my PC was good enough to handle games like ARMA.

Like the video says, in CoD you call in an airstrike. In BF3....you are the air strike.

What worries me the most about BF3, though, is how graphic intensive it'll be for PC(I mostly play games on PC). A game like CoD has always been very hardware friendly and pretty decently optimized. I'm really looking forward to BF3, but it seems like CoDMW3 I'll be able to play more comfortably.

Shit, they said it took days to compile a map on the Frostbyte 2 engine for BF3. That doesn't sound like it's very optimized or lenient for resource requirements.
