MKX Midnight Release Party in Sacramento [April 13th, 2014]

Hey guys. This is Jay with Capitol Fight District. Gamerz Phunk Lab is local video game store in the Sacramento area. I have been working with them since their opening in hosting tournaments and other events.

I will be organizing a MKX midnight release party at the store on April 13th. This will be for people who preordered MKX or you will pay a venue fee. PLEASE PRE-ORDER FROM HERE IF YOU CAN!!! If you are out of town and would like to pre-order, please give them a call so that you can work something out with them.

The party will start at 8pm and we will be playing MK9, IGAU, maybe some USF4, and definitely MKX at around 9pm. We will also have a tournament for MKX while we wait for midnight to pick up our preorders.

We have been informed by WBIE that stores may utilize Mortal Kombat X in their demo and in-store play units at 9pm local time on 4/13/15 prior to the game’s street dated release time of 12:01am local time on 4/14/15. The game may not be made available for retail purchase before the official street date, but customers may play the game in-store.

This means that we will not be able to play MKX until 9pm when the tournament starts. If you are coming out, please show up at around 8 so we can start getting the brackets ready for the tournament.
