Video/Tutorial MK9: Stryker's New Tech?!

Baton sweep have +26 on hit, so you can use it as OTG! But thing is after d3 you have only few options:
1) Another baton sweep (easy to avoid, but if it was success you can try another otg)
2) His roll (no options after it)
3) Mindgame after d3 (if your opponent already know that you use this tech with sweep and roll).

I believe the new tech is actually that he somehow managed to make his opponent want to block high against Stryker. That in itself is impressive.

Also, EX baton sweep is interruptible. Good luck using that against anyone who knows the match-up.

Right, except Kenshi can cancel F3 into jailing safe options, and has a viable overhead. There's literally nothing to respect if you block the first hit of EX sweep. Following up with D3 if it hits isn't bad, just don't abuse EX sweep itself on the end of combos so much.

I'll let in you in on a secret, my name is not a coincidence, I played Stryker quite often in the first year or so after MK9 was released and he's absolutely garbage. The only reason he might not seem that bad is because barely anybody uses him and therefore not many good players have studied the character.

But to answer your question, yes, EX sweep is only armored on startup. Use roll to armor through stuff in close quarters.

i use him only like 2 months, and i have some issues with crossups (is uppercut its best choice?) and AA (standing 4 or 1?). Definately his best tools its "Nobody knows MU" lol

I've played Stryker since Day Zero why is that guy asking who plays Stryker! Nonsense!

Jump is the best response to being crossed up, just think is it better to 1-1 or 1-2 them out of their crossup jump animation [REQUIRES A READ]. Otherwise you can use 4, or 3 or D1. My favorite response to this crap is just Neutral jump punch sets them up for a pop up combo.

In which case offline you can probably get in a decent 30+ combo online probably around 29.

Stryker is brutal up close I'm learning to jump into the fray against Scorpion x Milenna Lately. Carving them up.
