Its just a showing what happens when two player do the same. I am sure not everybody know all situations what happens!

If I remember 1st player advantage only is on normals, which is why king laos spin is not affected. Mostly what we see in the vid is armored special moves connecting with eachother while both characters armor is still active.

Hm. Armor on both participants may explain such an exchange even if we assume that p1a actually takes place.
Haven't thought of that.
