As many of you know by now, MK12 was leaked via a WB conference call. Hopefully we get more concrete information soon, but for now, at least we know we get a new game sometime this year!

What do you mean live service? Like free dlc or they release the game unfinished?

I think they do go the f2p route with battlepasses, etc. Then just expand the game overtime. It's VERY suspicious to me that they broke the two year cycle with Boon only saying "you'll see why."

Not sure what battlepasses are but f2p and expanding overtime sounds good as long as it's not an excuse to sell you an unfinished game with the promise to finish it at somepoint. If it's an uncomplete game at launch then I probably won't buy it

Not gonna happen. You don't go F2P only with your main brand. Unless you want to damage it. MK sell more than others fighting games, so they won't sacrifice that for the sake of following a dying bus.
No doubt there will be some sort of shitty business plan, like Battlepass and dlc's, but F2P i don't think so.

Also multiversus is dead like all other attempt to do carbon copy of better games release two decades ago for free and badly executed.
