mk1 online on xbox is busted AGAIN and this time for good?

there used to be an issue at some point in year one where it would take really long to find a game and then it was only 150+ ping. it could also take a really long time to "verify account restrictions" (while it takes 1-3 seconds when things run well).

this could be fixed with this rather obscure router trick:

“UPnP Not Successful” appears in your network settings | Xbox Support

but now the issue is back, and absolutely nothing helps. xbox network check used to say "upnp not successful" when there were issues, but this time "all services are available" and "nat is open".

@NRS this is completely unacceptable now, i dont really know whose side the issue is on but you need to communicate with xbox and fix this issue that no other game has. it makes the game virtually unplayable.

is no one else here experiencing this? its actually an issue that has been brought up many times on the wb support page and has never been statisfyingly adressed.
right now ive fixed all NAT issues on the xbox and im just stuck in "searching for match" forever.

Par for the course for MK games. Something like this has happened to me on every single game since MKX.

I haven't played for about 3 months since getting an error about high ping.

Restart your router and/or modem? It almost sounds like you are going through a VPN or something too.

I'm on Xbox and haven't had any issues finding matches or having high ping

no vpn and so many fixes tried already. maybe i just gotta call MS service. the thing is, every other multiplayer game works perfectly.

So turns out my current issue was my ISP. Changed connections to use cgnat which is what was causing the problem. Would've been nice to be advised so you could opt out, or at least be aware a change was occurring that may cause issues.

Played for 20mins earlier today.. and can't say i missed playing the game.

well, it seems i have fixed PART of the issue by managing the router settings so that the xbox always has open NAT, and THEN reinstallling the game. however, this only fixes the part where it takes minutes to "verify account restrictions" etc. this is as quick as it should be now. anyway, it still takes long to find a match and then its still 150 ping every time, while the xbox speedtest says my own ping is 11 ms. this is so frustrating and there is zero help from nrs on the issue.

but you had the issue only in nrs games, or others too?

alright, turns out my router "lied" to me, stating that it was on the newest OS while manual search found a newer one. apparently i can get <50 pings again now. still curious why no other game was affected by this. thx all for your emotinal support ;)
