mk dpd fight stick opinions?

I'm wondering if anyone has tried the DPD fight stick and what their opinion is on it? Also, do you think I can play MK9 at a high level using the PS3 gamepad? I found some combos to be hard to pull with the gamepad, like the Kung Lao 21212 combo.

I just got the klassic pdp stick and so far I love it. The klassic one has cherry switches unlike the tournament edition one, which are better. If you go here you can get one for more than half off the normal price:
