I was wondering if their would be a section of the Wiki showing the times when MK characters have appeared in other video games.

Such as NBA Jam TE rev 1.0 and 2.0

Those revisions have SubZero Reptile and Raiden as playable characters before the NBA took them out in revision 3.0 because of them not being "appropriate" for the NBA. In these revisions you can also see MK advertisements next to the announcers. One picture shows the MK2 Dragon Logo, and another shows Liu Kang and Kano.

Keri Hoskins (Sonya), Ed Boon, Sal Davita, Tobias and some others from the MK team are also playable characters in NBA JAM TE.

Raiden was hidden character in Unreal Championship II and Scorpion, Sub-Zero & Noob were in hidden chaaracters in The Grid.

Raiden and I think Shinnok or Quan Chi are in Midway's NFL Blitz Game. (The original one)

Scorpion was in one of the episodes in "Drawn Together".

Good memory, Buttman. Bad memory, Tim. (Side story: This game came out when I worked at Putt-Putt. So after every revision of NFL Blitz, we would stay up all night and with a pen & paper, we wrote down every code combination and what ever cheat it does. Anyway, after Rv1.21, we found Raiden & Shinnok. The code for Shinnok was like, Demon or something.)

Anyways, yes, Raiden & Shinnok are both in the final version of NFL Blitz. :D

Is this limited to just appearances in other video games, or are other areas includes, such as movies and shows? I can think of a few.

Billy Madison- At lunch a kid calls MK for the Sega Genesis as the greatest game.

High Tension (Film)- In the gas station scene, there as MK1 in the background a for a few seconds you can see Cage's bio.

Simpsons- Anyone remember Bonestorm? Liu Kang fighting a tank. Best moment ever. jaja.

Hey, now let's not forget about the last Midway coin-op game The Grid!

Scorpion, Sub - Zero, and Noob - Hidden characters in the game.

Scorpion does a fireball that destroys on sight instead of his trademarked spear.

Sub - Zero does his classic freeze move as his special move.

Noob does a suction move that sucks all players around him in to explode.

The contestant "Karasu" - LITERALLY does Liu Kang's flying kick as a special move - with voice and everything.

The contestant "Cyrus'" stomp move was eventually brought to Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance as Hsu Hao's special move, naming the stomp after Cyrus himself.

Flint's special is the Speed Dash, identical to Kabal's spin move.

Trixi's invisibility came from reptile to disappear from point of view and from radar.

Mind if we see some more shots of the Mortal Kombat characters in that game? I only seen Raiden there.
