MK 9 Chatroom not working for consoles?

Hey everyone quick ? did the chatrooms in the MK9 rooms on console get shut down or something? I never used them but i can't even type 1vs1 lol. Just curious because I haven't seen the chat work in months. It does work on PC MK9.

FYI i used search and didn't see anything come up.

I don't know about the XBL version, but on PSN the chat in lobbies stopped working around the time of the Injustice demo release.

Yup...i noticed this a while back as well.

Supposedly NRS got rid of it because people was getting too butthurt over losses......

Ever since it stopped working, the Chaosrealm room became a peaceful place.

And precious brain cells were spared.

I think they got rid of the chat.

I'm sure you're correct. They even got rid of the announcements. Y'know, the little circular thing that says "Player X defeated Player Y"?
