Midway Presents: Generation X featuring White Snake

In the process of purchasing a rather rare arcade board, I recently came in contact with someone who's friends with one of the original devs from Midway, and he shared a conversation with me that I think is a really cool story of what almost happened.

Everyone knows Revolution X. It was one of the first popular music-related video games that had kick ass tunes with awesome gameplay to boot. Apparently, during development of the game, Midway's legal team was notified to go out and register the title, "Generation X" but the lawyers sat on their asses instead. This caused the term to get snatched up by Marvel, who I assume used it for X-Men. When the project was initially greenlighted, Midway sent a video tape to Aerosmith indicating their plans to create a music based game around them, but the band didn't respond. This lead the team to contact White Snake, when Aerosmith out of the blue came back and said, "We'll do it".
