TYM White Knight
Yes yes, I am not 16 Bit, but I figured that since he stopped doing stock updates I would try my honest go of it.
If it sucks, it sucks, but hey, as one of the more opinionated users of this board, you know I pull no punches and have no bias.
That being said...Here. We. Go.
HoneyBee - Stock UP
This Canadian flash traveled to Chicago to prove that his previous placements was no fluke. After bodying player after player with his execution, he faltered when it mattered most...in Top 8. Tournament nerves may have prevented Honeybee from advancing further in the top 8, but one can only imagine how much better he will be with more experience. According to Zyphox, new flash of the world. OHHHHH CAAAANNNNAAAADAAAA!
Perfect Legend - Stock Neutral
After claiming that only top 3 matters, makes top 8 losers before getting absolutely demolished by 16 Bit's Catwoman. Visibly flustered mid game, PL's confident demeanor waned and he was forced to face the wrath of Selina Kyle. I would give him props for his play, but he doesn't deserve any. (His words) Winning MK9 in a 37 man bracket is not enough to tip his stock to the plus.
Playing To Win - Stock Down
After creating thread after thread, initiating conflict after conflict, and at times coming off legit insane, P2W failed to make top 8 and is now on watch. Knowing how he handled frustration in the past, I could only imagine what his thread would be like if he were allowed to post it...because you know, he got banned for being insane. He does get props for being the hottest heel in the NRS community at the moment. The stream was going mad booing him when he was playing, and you can't fake that kind of heat. Fails to be consistent and as such stock down.
16 Bit - Stock Up
After his emotional speech and previous top 8 placing with Catwoman, many thought 16 Bit proved himself among the best...if he hadn't opened eyes then, he certainly did now. While his bracket was a little weak, he DEMOLISHED heavy hitters in the top 16.Anytime you 3-0 Perfect Legend, and complete a comeback like that, skill cannot be questioned. Stock up for the Reo taunt, and I really hope that becomes a thing when beating PL. Mr Bit made a Bitliever out of me this tournament, and after getting "Kenshi Counterpicked" by Forever King, he claims he will never see a top 8 again...time will tell Mr. Bit, time will tell.
Pig Of The Hut - Stock Down
After ERUPTING at the community for not considering KIT a major, Pig Of The Hut had a lot to prove at UFGT. Failing to have a Top 8 placing at a recognized major with a widely considered top 3 character has fueled Pig with hatred. I wish Pig would have gotten top 8 only so I could witness the epic pop off I am sure he had prepared for the community. Unfortunately, like many others he was stopped cold by 16 Bit's Catwoman. He himself declared this match a matchup in Zod's favour so I look forward to seeing if Pig bounces back, or simply fades into obscurity...the clock is ticking.
Forever King - Stock Up
After looking shaky in his previous Injustice endeavours Forever King storms back to a solid 2nd place finish. This means that his fellow Ohio brother Perfect Legend will have to give him props. Loses some points for Counter Picking 16 Bit, but then gains some stock for...winning. Consistency is important, and Forever King has been one of the more consistent placers in Injustice. Always a threat.
Emperor Theo - Stock Up
Solidified himself as perhaps THE man to beat in Injustice. East Coast warriors flocked to Test Your Might to claim that he would not have ran over the bracket if East Coast heavy hitters were there...but they weren't, and as such, you have to give Theo props. Made it look easy throughout the entire tournament and showed people that Superman and Aquaman is a tandem that is tough to crack. Loses points for massive trident rushing, but gains them back for you know...winning. For now, Theo is by far the Aquaman of the world, and probably the Superman too.
GamerBlake90 - Stock Way Down
After calling out Forever King publicly and entering the hyperbolic time chamber, Blake appeared poised to make an impact at UFGT. After getting demolished in Injustice he has entered an Emo State. Walked up to King and handed him 40 dollars and refused to play him in his own challenge. He payed him 5 dollars more than the initial bet. I expect he will bounce back, but for now, Emo Blake's stock is in the toilet.
WhiteBoi Stock Up -
Constantly showing people that Doomsday is a threat and is completely tournament viable. Master of the earth-shaker which in the words of 16 Bit "Is impossible to block forever". Relentless pressure, great reads, fantastic conversions prove that this man is a threat in any pool.
Filipino Man- Stock Up
This guy. This effing guy. Gets Top 8 in injustice, SSF4, and SSF4: AE. Once blown up by the community for calling out Elite Goomba, Filipino Man has proven that he is not a joke and is currently the Wonder Woman of America. Still trash according to Perfect Legend, but has earned and deserves the respect of everyone for his dominating performance with the lasso.
Forever King Jr. - Stock UP
Places Top 8 with his brother. Often looked at as a training partner, King Jr. shows that he is his own entity by placing with the big boys. Still overshadowed by his brother, I anxiously await the day these two will face off for high stakes. Nothing entices viewers like a personal feud, and boy, this could get personal if the results continue to stack up for these two. I look forward to it.
Closing Thoughts:
Has Green Lantern died in tournament play?
