With NEC '14 now a fond memory in the hearts of the West Coast warriors, they return to their warzone in Wednesday Night Fights to continue their salt-fueled competition! Two WNF events ago, EGP Wonder_Chef finally overcame the huge obstacle that was Superman in order to take the tournament through a deadly display of dictatorship from Black Adam, who has now become his new main character...yet his multi-character usage continues. In Loser's Finals, he overcomes FLK Nubcakes's Batman with Green La- er, excuse me, Yellow Lantern, and advances into Grand Finals to face off against MF Slayer, who placed Top 8 at the Evolution 2013 tournament!
Having reverted back to his Black Adam for this match, Chef was on the edge of adding to his triumph from WNF 5.4, but sadly his dreams were ended by the character that has long since been his most hated adversary in Injustice. Although Chef had begun the Grand Finals set with a commanding lead in the first match, MF Slayer quickly recuperated and showed all the West Coast competitors that Superman's reign has begun anew! Congratulations to Slayer for his decisive victory!
Of special note, during the course of the pool matches streamed by Wonder Chef at his personal Twitch TV channel, the WNF participants were honored with the arrival of a special guest. That guest was the former NRS producer, Hector Sanchez, who now works as a producer at the Sony Santa Monica studios! While he has moved on to a new adventure, this guest appearance brings assurance to the NRS supporters that Mr. Sanchez is still around to check on things! We wish him well with his endeavors and hope to hear from him again in the near future.
