Get that extra rune!

In this video, we look at meter building on block. Quan players may want to get a paper and pen and start taking notes. These are the precise measurements for exactly how much meter you need to start with in order to build extra runes during your blocked offense. Also provided are the details of discovering the meter building percentages, in case anyone wants to take this approach to doing research on their own. Woolay!

Is it possible to get the three extra hits by simply doing a JIP between runes? For example JIP 212 ENrune JIP 212 ENrune etc?

Yes of course, but the stun of the EX RUNE does not give you enough time to get a guaranteed jump-in punch, only a dash in ground offense. THEY CAN ESCAPE THE JUMP IN, OR POKE OUT AFTER THE 1 1 POKE. That`s where the risk of the meter building comes in. If they think you`re going to jump-in inbetween Runes, they may be prepared to anti-air you. More likely, they`ll see you jumping and get out by jumping themselves, which you could plausibly anti-air them for. So in a way it becomes a mixup of it`s own.

So using the jump-in anywhere after the Runes have started can be quite risky. That`s why I only show it in one of the 4 examples of the Xray Rune strings. Better to get your jump-ins done early on, and then stay on the ground.
