Massive updates to csmame, and mamehub. It's running pretty good. One major feature still yet to come, that will avoid the long wait time before a game starts.

For those of you who were trying this before; there has been a major bug fixed that screwed latency up if you were in different timezones. Further you were, the more damaging it was.

Get MAMEHub here, or here.

Below is an example of a really early version, the new one has a GUI.

Ok so far, from my understanding this whole thing is resolving desync issues, wich in all fairness doesn't happen all to often to begin with.

Mud, can you explain what other benefits this will have eventually?

In my oppinion you go through all this trouble: command lines, long waiting times and fine tuning the intervals of sync's aswell.

Most people have issues setting up P2p as is, how is this a good thing?

More like doesn't EVER happen; with any emu online at least. Might be able to stay synced, but NONE will resync. I played on it earlier today, and I was getting massive 1700ms lag spikes (due to bad internet), and it stayed synced.

The nvram download will be fixed in the next release. You don't have to use command line anymore, there's a GUI now. It has an installer, so port forwarding will be automatic on windows firewall. Will have the same problem with routers, but isn't that almost every game online?

Benefits? What about being able to run proper mk emulation online? 119 doesn't count, cause that emu sucks, and plays umk3 a little weird.

It supports MESS, which supports every console up to n64.

It's cross platform on Windows, Linux, OSX. And it's not like other ones we've seen where you can only connect with other people w/ the same OS.

Things aren't perfect with this yet, but it's got the potential to be the best online client out there. If the developer can make a robot that can play any board game without instructions, I have faith he can do this properly.

Finally, it's still being supported, where as p2p and kaillera are not. Without support from communities like this, it will die. So if you don't ever want to see something better, fine.

A little less attitude would look better on you, it's not like we're discussing healthcare issues or something.

I meant, DS's do not occur very often, you might have times where you DS like crazy with someone, but in general it doesn't happen all too often.

If this is the greatest thing ever (I see the benefits for cross platforms support ofcourse), then in order for people to pick this up, it should be near the final stage and easy to use (as in effortless).

People already lost interest is what I'm saying basically.

As for UMK3 on 0.119..

It's only the best way to play the game online, far better then XBL for instance.

So saying the emu sucks, doesn't really count ;););)
