Question - Killer Low bounce on NJP

Sometimes after a BS1ex njp the oppenent does a lower bounce than usual. This prevents a proper follow up and kills the combo, leaving me open for a punish.

I don't know if this is Killer specific, or a feature of njps in general, but I can't consistently replicate it. It is a royal pain because I never know when it will happen, and it's not after a prolonged combo. Any thoughts or advice?

Is this happening after an anti air/airborne hit of a normal into BS1? Cause this will cause more gravity making the NJP to not bounce as high. Also another thing his that 3~BS1 if the BS1 hits to early, will hit the opponent when they're considered airborne causing increased gravity. To avoid this you either don't do the NJP at all or time the BS1 to hit a little later after standing 3.

After some testing it is indeed an airborne into BS1ex issue. I will try following through the combo without the njp and see what kind of damage can be done. Thanks!
