Lost my 5x EXP

So, I figured I'd spend 10 cards and activate this, expecting it to allow me in and out of the game for the 50 match limit - but I've lost it almost immediately (having needed to leave the game).

For future reference, can some kind soul please explain how this works and under what circumstances the boost will be lost. Surely you don't have to sit down and play all of the matches in one sitting to see the EXP boost from all of them - ?

Thanks

Hello,

I have found that when you buy a boast pack ( 1x,2x,3x,4x,5x ) on the xbox 360 version, the game stores the value of the boast in the system's ram while the game is loaded. Once you turn off the game and turn it back on the boast is gone, even if you did not use it all because the ram is cleared.

I have tested this a few different times and get the same results in all cases. Try it for yourself with a 1x card if you want.

Hope this answers your question.

It has a limited time, you reach the quantity of matches or the time
It doesn't have a time limit when you buy it from the archives.

The OP's problem is the same one I've had, and it happens when you buy a card from the archives, then turn off your system. When you turn your game back on, it's gone, and it doesn't matter how many matches you had left on it.

They need to fix this.

take a look when you win or lose a ranked or 1v1 whatever it is, it says the time remaining, it does have a limited time

Why? You're using ingame coinage...

I can't think of one game that allows you to buy XP boosts and use it as you please...

League of Legends does, it can be based on number of days from purchase or from number of wins accrued since purchase (i.e., ends at 50 wins or 10 wins).

Well, let's see.

I'm using ingame coinage that takes a whole heck of a long time to get.

In the archives, it says that it will last for 50 games. Period. It doesn't say that it'll expire if the game is turned off, etc. When I spend 10 archive cards that have taken me 5 long levels to get, I expect for it to last for the 50 matches, not just for the 15 I may play, then turn off the game.

Well I'm glad I read your second sentence before calling you a pussy!

I'm wrong, this shit is fucked.

There's a time limit on the streak boosts (gained by winning at least three matches in a row), but not on the purchased XP boosts that I noticed.

I've since seen that the little ticker message thing at the top of the MP dash does include one stating that you need to stay in the game to see the benefit of all boosted matches, but it'd be nice if you didn't, or that message was displayed at purchase. 50 matches is a good couple of hours - don't think I'll do it again.
