Legacy fight stick, player 2?

I know this is here somewhere but I couldn't find it.. even on Google I came up dry.

I have a legacy PS3 fightstick. I want it to work on my PS4 for PLAYER 2. No clue how to make this work. I'm a PC player, bought a ps4 solely for Inj2, I feel like this is probably super simple, but it's defeating me. Whenever I plug it in it defaults to player 1.

after you hit x after the 'legacy detected' prompt, hit the 'home' button on your stick. should get another prompt for the 2p profile
