Kombat League points penalty is really messed up - should it be changed?

Since the points reset every few weeks I don't see why you should lose points and rank at all. Sure that means anyone could grind 10 000 matches in a few weeks and squeeze out a high rank but... That's ok? I don't know. I don't like getting punished for losing to wifi warriors or someone who clearly is much more skilled than me but happens to be at a lower rank.

Furthermore I don't like losing my hard earned points because I... Have a job??? And a life??? MK is a hobby, not a chore.

And one loss can literally end 6 or 7 wins.

It hasn't happened to me yet. I'm in Grandmaster, maybe that's not high enough. As far as the low ranks go, I think it works fine.
