What's new

KOcast scheduled streams

Edit: The stream is cancelled this evening. Like I wrote in the new post, nothing seems to be going right at all this week. Apologies to those who were interested in tuning in tonight.

After a 2 week break, which allowed our players to finish up with studying and final exams, we're ready to return for our weekly fighting game stream. We'll be playing Mortal Kombat and other fighting games in preparation for the upcoming Revelations tournament.

Time: Tuesday (5/24), 8:00pm PST
Stream: www.justin.tv/KOcast

Tune in Tuesday night and chat with us. We’ll have two people on the microphones commentating on matches or just chatting with viewers. Also keep up with the site if there are any changes to the stream. www.KOcast.org

good shit, thanks for posting this.

I'll try tweeting this via TYM's twitter on the 24th.

Update on the stream. We're having problems. Our Blackmagic Intensity Pro card decided to crap out on us this evening. I purchased a Hauppauge HD-PVR, but to be honest, I'm not loving how the stream looks and performs right now. If I had more time and money, I could get more equipment suited for it. For now, we're using the HD-PVR to split video and we're not playing on our regular monitor.

The stream is not cancelled, but the quality is going to be lower than usual.

Edit: Here's a small sample of how it's looking. http://www.justin.tv/kocast/b/286550090 , there's no sound since we didn't set up the mixer, assuming nothing else messes up, there's gunna be audio and commentary on tomorrow's stream.

8:00 pm on a Tuesday, looks like I have something to watch now.

Do you practice with casuals over PSN? I'm going to Revelations too and need someone to practice with.

Our stream is usually done on the Xbox 360. But we do have the game on PS3.

Feel free to hit me up on PSN.

PS. Expect a lot of saltiness on tomorrow's stream. I turned off all the random processes on the HDTV with the hope that it decreases the input lag...

Despite our best efforts to overcome our technical difficulties, the stream isn't happening. I can't figure out what the problem is. The stream test went quite well last night, but this evening, the framerates are awful. Unwatchable, really.

Sorry to those that were going to tune in. I'll be spending much more time this week to fix the stream.
