Obviously NRS updating his look would be awesome, so yes I would welcome Kobra.

I hope Kabal comes back evil as fuck, and him and Kano join forces again as a result.
Seeing as the death of Shao Kahn left her without a master, and she's in need of some storyline direction, they should even the battle and give the Red Dragon Skarlet. She'd fit in perfectly.
Daegon, Mavado, Hsu Hao and Skarlet VS Kabal, Kano, Kobra and Kira.
Both sides would have a crazy redheaded knife thrower, an augmented beefhead, and hookswords everywhere.

And here I am thinking I was the only one who thought of this. Know what's funny? I was thinking about how much Kenshi looks out of place in MK9 the other day. I say this because the entire cast of MK9 pretty much originated from the earlier games.

As for Kobra, if they were to remake him, something tells me we will basically see DoA5's Rig in a 2D platform. That is, if the next MK game is even back in the 2D plane like MK9 was.

Kobra is awesome! He was my main in MKD but to my recollection most people looked down on him cuz he's easy to master and a generic token white guy character lol.

He had this unique backstory that he was once a good guy who actually tried to justify murdering people until he was too far gone and became a black dragon.

....but you know since he isn't a supernatural ninja thing with powers people don't want him in.
