knockdown vs hard knockdown

Hello, I searched the threads and couldn't find info on this and was wondering if someone can clarify this for me.

I know that there are knockdowns (where you can do wakeup attacks) and hard knockdowns (where you just have to block).

Is there a way to tell visually what time of knockdown you took? Or do you just have to know what character specific moves cause that certain type of knockdown?

Or am I completely missing this whole thing?

Hard Knockdowns don't allow the opponent to tech roll. You can see which moves fall into that category by setting the AI to wakeup roll.
