Since E3 the flow of information has been pretty solid and positive. The developers have also been answering many fan questions on twitter regarding Killer Instinct. One of those questions was the 'online play'. According to Patrick Gilmore of Double Helix Games the team has been working on the online-play since day one and they are holding the Street Fighter 4/GGPO as their gold standard. Though, online-play is one of the toughest obstacles a developer can overcome, GGPO possibly being used should bring some smiles to fans faces.

Normally I would be excited.

But since I have to pay for more then half the cast.....nope. I love this logic of having only one guy playable, hey what if he doesn't fit everyone's playstyle? Casules are not going to buy each fighter one by one till they find one or 3 fighters that fit their play style or just to have a decent roster for their friends to choose from for a game they are gonna stop playing after a month.

TLDR: Paying for 4 DLC fighters out of 20 or 40 fighter = Ok. Paying for 99.99% of the cast = not cool bro.

So would you rather the game have no demo and you just have to flat out buy it? Because that is an option.

I'd rather just buy the game and have most of the cast already there.

Better yet, I'd rather just buy the older Killer Instinct games and give them a try.

So you're complaining about a game that gives you the option to free play one character with the whole game, buy characters individually OR buy the entire game? I really don't get what you could possibly want.

Sounds good but lets see how it is when the game is out. I fear netcode for fighting games and sometimes I feel the online and offline games are two different games at times.
I do hope they get it right because I am buying an xbox one for ki. If it wasn't for ki I would not buy it due to all the drm shit.

I'd rather buy a game that has several options.

I don't wanna play a free game where only one guy (who I might not like) is available and then have to waste cash buying half the roster looking for someone I'm good with. Cause I don't know the cast of KI, I don't know who's who.

What is there to not get?

If the game was just full price with no demo, you'd be fine with that and just buy it? Also, I could be wrong but I'm going to assume that the cost of all the characters together would be the cost of the full game.

Even in Europe and when i play against people around 200 kilometers away if it isn't a green bar i can notice it . SSFIV netcode is decent not great. TTT2 had one of the best netcodes of all fighting games. They shoul strive fro something of that quality. Netcode talk is all bs, every company will say they have great netcode, DOA5, KOFXIII, MK9, Injustice all supposedly would have good netcode when in hindsight they were all Trash.

But I didn't want to dash
Sf4 net code is ok. It uses delay like mk9 and injustice but it does it a lot better if you stick with somewhat local players. I feel ggpo is the best net code around. You can play playable games with people further away than in the other games and you can control how much input lag you have. There's no reason any game should leave out ggpo or at least a ggpo style net code.
