Killer Instinct updated with early access to Season 2!

In the final hours of September 21st, Iron Galaxy has made the move to release an early access build for Season 2 of Killer Instinct! This means that all the balance adjustments to the eight-character cast from Season 1 are now in effect, and TJ Combo can be viewed at the character select screen (he cannot be purchased just yet, however, but you can play as him by using the Practice Mode). You will also notice that descriptions of each character's Instinct Mode have been added to their command lists, which you can view simply by pausing the game.

As you're reading this, popular names from all around the Killer Instinct community have taken to Twitch TV to share their experiences with the Season 2 build. You can check 'em out via the Live Streams tab located to the right of the Forums section, as demonstrated in the image below.

If you're at your Xbox One console right now and you don't get the update when you turn on Killer Instinct, try the following instructions:

1) Perform a hard shutdown for your console. You can do this by holding your finger over the power button until it powers off, or simply unplugging the power cord. After whichever option you take, wait ten seconds, and then power the console back on.

2) If the above solution does not work, try uninstalling the game from your console (you do not need to uninstall your save data as well) and then reinstalling it.

You'll also want to be sure your Xbox One has a secure connection to your Internet service so that it can receive the update.

If any developments regarding the early access build arise from your neck of the woods, please make a post in here to inform your fellow KI fans.

Also, remember that the retail version of Killer Instinct will be made available this Tuesday for purchase. That will come with TJ Combo as a playable character, along with the adjustments to the Season 1 cast.

I've only messed with Orchid for a bit but it seems that Manuals are a lot easier to pull off. Also, Orchid seems like she can only follow up her air grab with auto-doubles and Ichi Ni San opener.

Oh, and she still has her Normal->Ichi->Ichi->Shadow Flick Flack unbreakable.
 
Sabrewulf is so fun once he get's in instinct. It's literally Kabal on steroids.

Loving the extra damage on non-combo and counter hits. Getting hit by a raw-overpower is now like getting hit by a truck.

26-29% once-chance-to-break combos with Feral Cancels too!

Yeah Im on lunch break and turned on my console. No update. I went into the store and it shows "season 2" briefly while loading and then it goes away. *sigh* lemme try this stuff listed.

Spinal run cancels into 50/50.

his crouch mk is so much better now too that it doesn't cause hkd. cancelable and has great range. that and overhead is a good 50/50 now.

If only I knew his frame data on run cancels. I hope I don't get hit out of it everytime with d1 mashers. If so then I might be done with KI.
 
On the downside of counter hit damage, Jago does a MASSIVE 17% damage on counter hit with his Heavy DP.

Basically, any time you block a Wind Kick, you can't always take advantage of Jago being negative on block. You have to guess if he's going to DP or not, because if you're pressing buttons when you think it's safe, WHAM, 16-17% of your lifebar is gone.
