During the week of E3, along with the streams from the show floor and the public demos to fans, Double Helix studios paid a visit to Cross Counter in order to talk about the game. In the special in-depth session with Cross Counter Live, Gootecks sat down with Double Helix's Filthierich (along with senior game producer Michael Willette) to cover some of the mechanics of the game, demonstrate the gameplay, and take questions from the fans. Well-known Tekken player and WNF commentator Rip was on hand to help showcase the game, along with Justin Wong, Alex Valle, and Tasty Steve who stopped by to play some extended sets.
The broadcast features a very in-depth, piece-by-piece look at a lot of the capabilities of the engine and the different aspects of gameplay, as well as a look at what some talented players from other games are able to do within the first couple days of being able to play. They discuss specific tech and character tools, as well as some of the developer plans for the future of the game, in what is likely some of the most detailed developer commentary seen to date.
