That air combo system is freaking me out. There's nothing wrong with the current engine mechanics. I hope it doesn't fuck it up.

He will probably only be able to do it once or twice if you use instinct. TJ looks more like an MMA fighter than a straight up boxer from the screen shots. He will probably have an air grab which grounds the opponent or something like that.

Enhanced combo system doesn't sound very character specific to me.

I'm worried aerial recapture system change ending up becoming a huge buff for characters who don't need it.

Could you imagine sadira doing throw > juggle and then re-grounding you for a full combo? *vomit*

I imagine doing something like that would drastically limit your combo. The gauge will probably let you get in like one linker and auto double or something off a throw. What it will really help is characters like Glacius who struggle vs jump ins.

Thinking similiar, right now the reward for AAs are pretty low outside of things like AA DPxINstinctxDP juggle with jago.

rewatching the trailer closely TJ Combo tick throws sadira with a command grab, then juggles and re-grounds her.

that's nuts... I don't think I like stuff like that

From the looks of the combo trailer IG is just added grounding properties to some moves similar to Tekken's bound. TJ's overhead punch appears to pull triple duty in that regard. When it hits Thunder as an opener, he goes down, but auto double picks him back up. When it hits as an ender, it hard knockdowns. When it hits Sadira in a juggle it restands her.

I'd assume everybody is getting one of those.
