Keyboard lockup issues

Does anyone know of a way to fix this. It's really not a huge issue, but i can't do moves like Slides, forceballs, etc. So it is somewhat annoying. I read somewhere you can reassign the key values to another part of the keyboard without changing the controls or whatever. I not entirely sure but if anyone can help out that would be great.

Your keyboard may only be able to have a certain amount key's pressed at any one time. I suggest you try and find out how many can be pressed at once.
Did you ever spill anything on your keyboard? If so then take the key off, give it a clean and try it again, be very careful when doing so.

Buy a better keyboard. Honestly man there's really no other way around this issue. Talk to Dreemer about that Godly keyboard he has.

FMI....could I use that on my laptop? or any keyboard for gaming? just curious (i'm a pc n00b!)

Most keyboards will not recognize four simultaneous keystrokes and will overload the encoder, causing a temporary lockup. Some "gaming" keyboards have encoders that allow for many more keystrokes (I think the Logitech G15 can do 9), but it's hit and miss, amd this has been a problem since I first started gaming with Commander Keen on our old IBM 386.

1) Don't use the arrow keys for movement. Remap them to something else.
2) Use a gamepad.

Try to put more space between the directional keys and the attack buttons. For a standard PS2 Dell keyboard, W A S D for directions with the 3x3 row of insert pg up del end and pg down works well, and your choice for run:

You can do slides, leg grab, forceballs, fan throw, bombs, charge LK, HP, etc, normally, and most importantly, the Human Smoke code. The keyboard is my preferred way to play UMK3 and most fighting games. I still play on stick for obvious reasons.
