Are there any players in the Kansas City Kansas, Kansas City Missouri, Overland Park, Olathe, Blue valley, Johonson County KANSAS area who play MK or know about any tournaments. Post in here

Hey, fellow KCers! KC's fighting scene mostly posts over here on SRK. We have people who play MvC3, T6, BBCS, and SSF4, and I know there's at least a decent amount of players interested in MK. If you want to keep MK's local scene alive, come out and support it @ local hookups and tournaments! There's a tournament w/ MK on May 21st and after that there's this tournament June 4th that also has MK. Hookups are generally every Tuesday and Friday. For info on those just check the main KC SRK thread.

Anyway, I hope to see some (if not all) of you at hookups and stuff. I think MK has potential to be a great addition to KC's fighting game lineup, and it'd be interesting to see how the game develops.

Wow, sorry guys, I quit checking this thread, great to see some people that live in KC, I used to live in Shawnee. I play on Playstation, so if any of you guys do add me on there WonOneWun, and definently let me know of some weeklys/monthlys, or of any casuals you guys have, I only play with one other friend and he just bashes buttons, still fun to use characters I never use against him tho. Also it'd be nice to have a local training partner, I really am hating the online in this game so far, the delay really screws with me, I don't PLAN on going to any big tournies for MK9 but I still want to be good and play competetively in locals and smaller tournaments, So just hit me up guys.

Tournament results from the past weekend are up.

@Won: I'll add you on PSN for sure. As for local tourneys the tournament this past weekend is part of a (generally) monthly tournament series called Max Out. As long as someone here is interested I'll keep posting the info for those here. In addition, the other tourney on June 4th (info in my previous post) should draw in some people from out of state, and is a great opportunity to get games in.

As for general offline hookups/training partners, there are hookups every Friday in Overland Park and Tuesdays in KC that have a variety of games being played. As for more MK centered hookups there might be something going on in Independence this week. And if there's demand I can try to host a hookup @ my place in Blue Springs. If any of you guys are interested in getting offline games in either Independence or Blue Springs lemme know. If interested in hookups @ OP or KC, check the SRK thread I linked to, though as far as I know neither of those are happening this week.

Yeah, GGs man. BTW, I'm curious: do you know Kabal's blockstring infinite and have it down offline-wise? yeah, sorry man, meant to post but didn't get around too it, I got real sick wednesday night and still am now, so ive basically been doing nothing but sleeping, playing online every now but I can't really like sit/stand up for long without feelin real sick. I'm comin to the next one for sure.

Hey, I know this is on short notice, but there are gonna be weekly mini tourneys starting today. It takes place at The Buzzz (yes that's how it's spelled), same place where the monthly tourneys of Max Out take place. The address is: 12056 W 135th St, Overland Park, KS 66221. Casuals start @ 6, tourneys start @ 7. It's $5 per game entered w/ games on hand being SSF4:AE, MvC3, MK9, BBCS2, T6, and AH3. If you can't make it tonight, there's always next week. @Won: There's a $5 venue fee (that gets waived if you bring a PS3 and lagless TV) and it's $10 (per game) to enter MvC3 and SSF4AE, and it's $5 (per game) to enter MK, BBCS2, and T6.

Ok, thanks, and yeah I meant to tell you I would be interested in a hook up but the first time i read it I was like a week behind so I thought the offer had passed because I didn't see that you said "this saturday or next saturday (what would have been today.)". But anyways, so that's next Saturday that should be good for me, no getting sick this time.
