Is umk3 for the Ds good enough to buy a DS

I didn't have a ton of interest in buying DS but now that umk3 I'm not sure. I wouldn't really get any other games except for maybe warioware touched. So do you guys think it;s worth it. (mainly for the online)

No. If you have a DS, and you don't have any other port of UMK3 than it's a maybe. Online is worse than XBL, and the gameplay is sketchy. But it does have sped up gameplay.

If you travel alot than you should get it ;)

The DS is cool because you can hack it REALLY easily. I would get it so you had a nice portable system to play with alot of free games, but dont get it just to play umk3 when there is xbl and kaillera... both options shit all over the DS.

The only thing that I don't like about UMK3 DS is there is basically only 2p in a room, so nobody can watch as you play and there is no messaging/voice system.

I dont think you should buy a DS just for UMK DS. You should buy it to play UMK DS and alot of the other worthy games for the DS. Whether its the New Super Mario Bros., UMK DS or Brain Age, the $130 for the DS is money well spent.

Either that or save your money and get an arcade stick from Ed. :D

I'd say go for it, but I believe that Nintendo is going to upgrade the DS again sometime soon, I'm guessing they're leaning towards a better accessibility with the controls. So I'd wait for that, whenever that happens.

Warioware touched is one fun-ass game, definitely worth the $$. And pretty much anything that has to do with mario, New Super Mario Bros., Mariokart, Mario 64, etc. nothing is better than portable wireless online play, esp in UMK. Also the new Kirby : Squeek Squad is good, and if you like Ninja Gaiden, that will be one new game you can't miss.

I was thinking of buying a ds as well just for umk3 but decided against it just due to the fact the buttons are so small! My entire thumb covers the xyba butons it's near impossible to play mk comfortably.

To be honest, I would not buy a DS just for the sake of MK.
The DS has so much more to offer than MK.

I really need to get a lot more games for my DS. I only got Brain Training, Nintendogs, and Tetris DS. (Which is a lot of fun.)
