Is it only me having issues?

I have looked and I can't seem to find anyone else having the kind of problems I am (sorry if wrong place to post but I can't find a "help" forum. I bought this game yesterday and right from the start after updating my main menu is laggy beyond playing, just freezing/stuttering and makes it so I can't even press anything, after a few resets and relaunches it finally loaded properly, but still experiencing the odd stuttering during some cinematics but not game breaking, now I tried launching today and it's just as bad as it was previously and refuses to fix :s I have looked at the disk and it's completely fine no scratches/marks or any other visible damage, and EVERY other game I own works flawlessly so it has to be something with this one, anyone else have the same? or any solutions? EDIT: This is for the PS3 sorry.

The game lags very often when you're connected to the Internet; even when you play offline.

I have tried it disconnected, it still has this issue completely isolated from the internet

If you are on xbox trying clearing your cache. Go to setting>memory and place the highlighter over where your game saves are (hard drive or cloud) and hit y. This works for me after every patch.

If its on ps3 try hard resetting your system.

Your system could be corrupted.

Why is it no other game has this issue? I've tried every game I have, none lag, even my digitally downloaded ones don't lag, no issues with any other system, and I've tried resetting the ps3 multiple times/redownloading the patch/and clearing some free space of it/complete factory reset and retry, doesn't fix it
