Is anyone still playing D'vorah despite how broken she is?

proud TERF!
What's the point of sticking with a character that's so awful you pretty much start with a disadvantage, especially versus the high tiers?

I've been learning Cetrion because I'm just tired of losing to play my favorite character.

Is there anyone who's still maining D'vorah despite the fact this puts them at a disadvantage?

.... they mostly come at night. Mostly.
I thought I saw a D'vorah on stream at CB. So at least one person, I assume.
HoneyBee did in his last match of top 24, only for fun and to please the audience, that was cheering up and teasing him to use her ... hehe :p

That bug ressurection move at the end, if used on someone without a high projectile, is pretty ridiculous. Lol

Thing I hate most about her is that her execution also seems stricter than anyone else I’ve tried on top of how terrible she is. I thought maybe it was me but then I just watched Sonic Fox drop her bnb’s like a dozen times against Silverrye too. Nothing like finally landing a combo starter with a garbage tier character only to drop it half the time. So now do I choose to lab this trashcan enough to get it down or just pick anyone else, faceroll the controller with no lab time, and not drop anything ever?

As a Cage main, I feel your pain, even if Cage isn't in as bad a state as D'Vorah currently is. At the end of the day, games are supposed to be fun, and if you're not having fun with a character, its best to either drop them or just put them to the side for the time being.

it used to be that f1 was so fast you had to delay it in juggles but now the best way to juggle midscreen is to do dashes into standing 1. It isn't hard though.
for example:: f1, 3 > db1 AMP > dash s1 > dash 1, 2 df2

I literally only play Dvorah. I study all characters but I only have fun with her. The set ups, the pressure, and the mix are just too fun. I do get discouraged from time to time because there are matches i should definitely win but lose because of her tools, but shes rewarding to win with

I am sure that she will get buffed so stocking with her and learning her NOW will be far worth it in the future when people switch to the buffed voarh

I choose her once in a blue moon. Not in ranked tho. Its fun hearing ppl with mics get suprised that Dvorah is chosen when I play KOTH. Dvorah is good for 'beginner' koth or 'Day 1' koth (Even if she isn't day 1, just lie)

Rip Torn

ALL I HAVE IS THE GREEN.
Sonicfox has been playing her and making her look good. Her offense seems hard to set up but once she gets it going, she can be almost unstoppable. She might need a few buffs on some of her normals but I'm also scared if they buff this character at all.

She looks good when people have no idea how to deal with her fake setups. You saw people sitting there when pooping bugs are dropped and then just sitting there more with D4 into puddle. When you can just walk back and get out of everything.

I think you're simplifying it a bit. Wouldn't Honeybee know her setups and how to deal with them?

I still play her from time to time, just to clear her character towers. If they'd make her ground swarm a little faster she wouldn't be so bad and I'd give her another shot online as my third.

Sonic Fox plays her.

She's just very hard, but she's not as bad as people think, expecially with custom moves.

Are you not entertained!?
My daily loop is:

Load up D'vorah -> lab -> feel good doing 60% Fatal combos -> play online -> lose more because I suck with her than because she sucks -> switch to Baraka -> win most games -> lose to Erron Black dive kicks -> cry.
My daily loop. Pick my boy Shao, go online ranked play until I get bodied 2 games in a row, feel bad about myself, go in training, lab said match-ups, feel good about myself, go play a tym member, get bodied, feel horrible about myself, go online koth and win 10 streak against noobs to boost my morale. Go to sleep happy.
