Hey, guys. So, like CriticalBits said, I throw a monthly that has been pretty good thus far. I've been in the community a long time, primarily with Tekken, but I've been on SRK about the same length of time. It's gotta be creeping up on a decade in the competitive scene and on the boards. Today's tourny was our 2nd with MK, and people seem to be liking it. I personally hate Marvel, which was bringing the numbers, so I picked up MK and will continue to run it at the tournies. I'll post it up here the next time we throw our monthly. It'll probably be Aug 20 or so.
Aside from our monthlies, we're also throwing a major in Sept. Here's the initial post:

It's definitely something you all should consider since it'll be fairly large (we're hoping at least 100 turnout) and they're really fun whenever we do them. Kind of like the monthlies, I've taken it upon myself to start doing them, so I expect to have the majors more consistently, too. At some point in the next couple of days, I'll post this event up on TYM, too.
In any case, we should organize some weekly gatherings or something for those who are close to the CR area. We already have a few players here who I think would be down. Just gotta nail down a time and place.
