What's up guys call me Timedrop, PSN: Twisted_Timedrop or SuperMegaNotGood. I'm not exactly new to fighting games but not really all that good at them nevertheless. Really liking Injustice and just wanted to know if there is any particular way to go about picking a main character, I've just been aimlessly bouncing around and that is something I know I don't need to be doing right now.

I like tend to play defensively and wait for the other player to make a mistake and go for the punish. But so far in Injustice I've had a hard time doing this.

Well I'm probably the most experienced member. I would easily take evo but i don't believe in tournaments, dont challenge me online because it's to mainstream. Basically just accept that you will never beat me or get the chance to challenge me. This is just how it is. Welcome to TYM

Greetings, Timedrop. (I like that username)
Welcome to this site of knowledge, learning, bitching, and darkly things, named TestYourMight.com!

I'm still a relative newbie at Injustice, so I can't help you with picking characters.

Haha I like this place already. I've played a bit of Supes since posting here along with some WW and Bane. I ran through the forums on those characters briefly and I don't understand some of it. For instance when talking matchups you'll frequently see someone represent this in terms of ratios like 6-7 for example. What does this mean? Along with the whole 50/50 thing. I don't understand footsies and various other things. A true noob I know. But hey, I'm attempting to learn right? Also thanks, I like this name too!

Don't know if anyone will see this but looking for some advice. Alright so I'm maining Zod now. Hands down. Love the guy, swag combos, familiar feel. Great character for me as far as execution. So the problem here is that yea I can do all of these combos in practice or on a brain dead opponent but how do I handle someone that is going to be comboing back. I try reading things but for the most part it just feels like a guessing game and I'm almost always wrong. Tried going through the frame data to see if there were any safe strings or set ups I could do but it seems his trait is supposed to able to keep things safe. But that takes away from combo damage and the trait isn't always gonna be there. So I've begun to sit, guard and evade. Waiting for the person to mess up and then I can punish for sizeable damage. Problem with that is, again, I often guess wrong and get caught. Any advice?

You have to learn what your opponent's tendencies are, and adapt to what they are doing to escape. It also helps a lot to know what your opponent's character is capable of at every range. You could also ask around the Zod forum for safe options.

What I tried to do, is to practice against the A.I. in single player classic battle mode until I was comfortable with my stuff in a real match situation. Alternatively, you can ask someone to help you practice.

I've been playing classic battles since reading your post and it definitely helps. Tried Very Hard mode but quickly realized Zod seems to have pretty slow start ups on some of his strings. Gonna play more until I figure a way out of this besides just trait. Thank you for the help.
