Injustice PC edition on 50% on Steam for the next few hours. Worth it?

Played a lot of Injustice near launch on the 360 and really enjoyed it. Sadly, my console is bricked and my gold membership is up so I don't play anymore.

Picking it up on PC sounds nice, get to play with the new characters, see it running on my new video card, ect. But is the game solid on PC?

Any issues? How is the netcode? Is there a community playing on Steam, or would I be wasting my money?

Any help is appreciated.

Since it's the next few hours, the answer is yes. Slowly but surely more and more players are jumping on PC. You are coming in at a very good time where the online community for PC is just starting.

I think you mean, the PC online community is just starting for fighting games.

Only if you want to pick a few people to play within your region, Matchmaking is shit poop.

To be honest though, you can't have decent matchmaking when online consists of like three and a half anons.
That said, there are usually enough people online to find a match. It's just that you probably won't be getting your equals most of the time.

Good thing you picked up on that. Sorry I left that out, I made that post on short notice.

Wrenchfarm Essentially what I should say is that people are in-fact picking it up, and from the leaderboards I see a handful of top players already playing. If you want to know if other people are playing, yes. And the Injustice PC community is growing ever more each and every day.

I decided to skip it to tell the truth. Seemed like an unenthusiastic backing from the TYM forums and the Steam forums were full of complaints about netcode and a small playerbase.

I don't know, I was really torn on it. Maybe if it comes back around later I'll pick it up. I will say I was sad to see that it didn't make the "Deals of the day" pack, which to me probably means not a lot of people jumped on.

As an aside note, I kind of wish the mods hadn't dumped this thread into the largely inactive PC sub-forum so quickly. Yes, it is certainly a thread all about the PC version, but it was a time sensitive request for info about the game in general. TYM's traffic already seems slow compared to when Injustice first dropped and it didn't help to shove the thread into a pocket forum. Oh well.

Ha! Minutes later and what do you know, it's back on sale for %50 off! Guess I'll poke around and see if I can get any friends interested so I can guarantee a few fights.

Honestly, in many cases people complaining about netcode, community etc. are doing so, for the lack of better word for it, baselessly. Yes, maybe it's not the best out there or so I heard, but you can't blame everything on devs when you have PC population with quite low standards when it comes to FGs online culture, specifically things like:
- lack of understanding that it means nothing if you can run modern games @ 30 FPS as you need 60 here and no, there's no frameskip and no, "just 2 models" doesn't mean the game will run on calculator;
- abundance of people using wi-fi connection even at home;
- general laziness of playerbase used to finding opponents with one click of "find match" button and rather whine about matchmaking system on the forums than put an effort in finding opponents of needed skill level that have good connection with you specifically;
- an assertion that 150 ping is okay and should be playable. No comments.

People should realize that FGs are not freaking DotA, then we'll probably have nice things. Maybe.
