This must be made into a game. This is officially the coolest thing I've seen on the rift; imagine if it was a full game, complete with exploration, the ship shaking from battles and all kinds of things; working control panels etc. It'd be incredibly immersive. I'd gladly man this sucker with my friends.

If this is the future of gaming, sign me up -- let's go.

As long as I have the option to decouple my head movements from my mouse maybe I'll give the Oculus a go. But at that point I guess that a monitor would probably serve me better. Star Citizen seems like the only game I've seen where Oculus makes sense, since there's a limited area in which you'd actually want to turn your head to look. You don't need that 360 degrees of freedom like something like this -- you're attached to a chair. Your actual head rotational deviation from "straight ahead" is regulated by your ship basically... that makes sense to me and seems like it'd control well. We'll have to see how input methods end up cleaning up, maybe we're going to have to use a wireless controller and a spinny chair lol
