I think Reptile will be on the rise again soon.

With all the new stuff these past few weeks people have been coming up with, not to mention a setup I have been testing myself (which if I can confirm is good enough I will be posting up soon) by the time final round gets here Reptile player will not be ones to be fucked with, I think this character is going to be rising up tier lists again soon.

He's very good without a doubt, and will always be a competitive force. I've seen plenty of chris g and thtb (though I haven't seen any very recent stuff) I love to watch them play the make it obvious that Reptile is a tough out.

These matches prove little, Reptile is not top tier and a few new mixups will not change that. He'd need a serious buff to make top 5.

Reptile has a lot of potential. He has his share of problems sure, but I think a lot of other characters out there would be more likely to get buffs before Reptile did. Reptile isn't hurting too badly (whether or not he is a top tier character, he is at least high tier).

Im going to play more Reptile to simply suppress my S Tier issues.

If anyone wants to only use the S Tier, ill use Kung Lao or Reptile and royally fuck that philosophy :3

I'm sorry to sound insensitive to Reptile players but seriously what was all that whining about earlier? I can't understand how they were going through so many boxes of tissue when he has so many good tools. Reptile is far better than most the cast he just has a learning curve which is uncommon in this game. And now, with all the new strats, the time for excuses is over. Kick some ass.

He does have a high learning curve, contrary to popular belief. I appreciate that.
Only thing you have to learn:

-with Kabal is to NDC
-with Cyrax is to throw bombs and random nets
-with Kung Lao, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING
-with Johnny Cage, press random buttons ---> fap fap fap
-Sonya: Seriously, be honest. How many of you play Sonya because you ACTUALLY love her character?...exactly.
-with Freddy is to throw claws and derp-teleport everywhere. Dont forget random Xrays!

I must admit tho, Raiden takes a lot of skill to win consistantly, even online.

The only learning curve Reptile has is to properly plink a NJP, that's it. If someone can't master that, then more execution heavy characters such as Kabal and Sonya will never be within their grasp.

Also, Raiden is very easy to win with online, I honestly feel dirty when I play him. Even if you're doing teleports between 334 and b312 it's rarely punishable due to the lag. Raiden, Kung Lao, Reptile and Kano are all just stupid with the slightest amount of lag.

That's a silly way of looking at the game, you can do this with every character, let me try.

With Noob, all you have to do is throw clones!
With Raiden, all you have to do is teleport!
With Sub Zero, just put up a clone!

See how easy it is to generalise?

Everyone plays Sonya these days, a quick ticket to easy wins with an armoured combo starter. If she has 1 bar of meter you cannot attack her. NOT COOL MAN.

Worse part is, I know he's going to do it. I know HOW to do it. But I fall for it every fucking time...SZ and KL can suck my balls. I'm reckless and I jump too much, but damn it...that's MK9.

Not having a low launcher has been one of his problems, but i agree with you he wont be top 5 again, but he can pass a couple of characters on the tiers.

Also, tech is just tech. No matter what tricks there may be, it alone won't win matches.

Yeah, a low would help tremendously. Or if F2 was a mid, or if F2 B1 could be linked to a FB.
