I don't even know who I am anymore!! (Character crisis council open to anyone!)

Long story short I started playing this game on launch playing Kano, Sub, and Jax.

Over the last month or so I have been bouncing back and forth between those characters and trying to figure who the hell I am anymore as far as characters.

Not only that, but I've been picking up more characters to delve in: Goro, Ermac, Liu Kang, Erron Black, Predator, Jason, and just yesterday Kotal Kahn.

I love how all of them play. I can't focus on just one. The problem is I try to focus on one and say, "Yeah, this will be my main" and then I'll go back to playing one of the original three and feel that love again.

So, this thread is for anyone of you character man-whores who just can't settle on one character.

Come in here and sulk in sorrow with all the brethren of the hopeless.

I say - keep doing you. You could be a great asset to the community if you knew the ins and outs for all of those characters you listed.

I started with Sub. Then added Kenshi, Scorpion, Mileena, Johnny Cage, Jax, Kung Lao, Tanya, and shit i cant even remember now xD With my growing dementia, i decided to stick to smaller characters, and forever cri about not having the mental capacity to play all the characters I enjoy

Lol at first it was Sub and Shinnok. Then Ermac, Quan, Reptile,Tanya, Kenshi, Kano, Lao, Jason, Predator, and most recently Kotal. Im a high ranking whore. But why settle for a main when you can counter pick the shit out of people lol Knowing alot of characters is fun and will make you better defensively. Learn the whole select screen!!!

Having a main is overrated unless you are a tournament player and you need to know tons of matchup. In that case having a main is useful because it allows you to utilize your characters tools to the best of your ability against every other matchup, which you can't really do if your constantly jumping from character to character.

Yeah you'll want to stick to one for sure m I play well with lao, jax, and reptile. None of the characters compare to my sub though. I've used him so much that my range is gettinginsane. Footsies is greatly increased and your ability to punish in any scenario is on point when you are your main.

With that said you want to know other characters well too. When I fight the other characters I use I know what they are trying to achieve. Just gotta grind and you'll pass your plateaus.

haha right now im just with Takeda, Sub, Pred, and now Tremor... but man... maybe when i know these 4 completely inside and out, ill expand/explore more into Kenshi (because of @Pig Of The Hut) D'vorah (because of @HoneyBee) and Kotal (because of @Alucard- i actually dropped WG but he brought me back, lol) they have opened my eyes to possibilities that these characters can be fun, yet very very threatening.

plus they aren't brain dead characters.

I started this project a while ago and I really need to get back to promoting it so it can actually be helpful. Maybe it helps you in some way.

As for my own sorrows. I really like offense but feel its too simple in this game. I still play and love cassie but then I picked up MoS Raiden and now I'm also playing Predator and looking forward to Tremor. I feel grapplers are subpar in this game but will be picking up EB or SGKK still. Characters I've tried along the way: Lui Kang, Quan Chi, Kung Jin, Jacqui, Kano and Kung Lao.

Ever since Injustice I have not been able to stick with a character, if I have a main its Ferra/Torr or Sub Zero but I'm learning a new character every few weeks and now it's Tremor time.

Dude. I spent today on stream doing Jax law rocket cancels, Nailing Dvorahs wasp cancels, and doing Liu Kang iaFB combos. I had never even played those characters before. so fun xD

i started with SUB then quickly went to Kung Lao (btw his mk3 has the mk2 shadow over his face) then rippled on to EB, KJ, Scorpion, Kitana, Mileena, Jason till i got sick, Raiden, D'vorah, Cassie, sonya demo, then Predator, and now im confused, im gonna try Tremor with that corner trap(B1,D4,U4/2,1,D4,U4 straight into rock drop.) and maybe something with that crystaline armor setup in corner. then i hope i fanaly found my toon

I wish I was able to enjoy other characters as much as Sub. I have had my fun with Pred. Sill having. But nah. I messed around with Kitana (pre-patch era), course to me she's one of the most gracefully looking fighters on the screen. But meh. It always only lasts for that long. I also like MoS Raiden. Probably my second or third favorite. But these traps just seam so unpractical for this game. In the end - it's all Sub again.

She was the first character I did run cans with.

She does have the hardest execution though because every combo starter using a wasp cancel.

BTW b1 wasp cancel. And f22 WGC f11 are really the only tough ones
